Back to Flowers
The cymbidium orchid is a very distinctive, classic flower that is used in flower arrangements along with other matching flowers. Cymbidium orchids are also a popular choice in
bridal and bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages.
Cymbidium orchid blooms are connected to a very thick and sturdy stem. The number of blooms on a single stem varies but usually ranges from about 15 to 25 blooms.
One can purchase cymbidium orchids on the stem, but it more common for the florist to clip the blooms from the stem and use them in flower arrangements. Since the thinner stem connecting the bloom to the main stem is relatively short,
florists place the bloom and their short connecting stem in a water pick so that they can be easily placed in an arrangement and still have access to water.
Cymbidium orchids come in a range of colours, but green, white, and yellow cymbidium orchids are most common. One can also obtain light pink and chocolate coloured cymbidium orchids.
Mini cymbidium orchids, where the blooms are smaller in size, are used in flower arrangements as well as bridal and bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages.
Cymbidium orchids are available all year round. Green, white and yellow cymbidium orchids are the colours that we try to keep in stock on a regular basis. Other colours, such as the chocolate coloured cymbidium orchid,
may be available at different times in the year.
