Leucadendron

Back to Flowers

Leucadendron are robust flowers that consist of a number of straight and sturdy leaves emanating from a relatively thin stem at roughly 45 degree angles. Leucadendron does not come in a variety of colours. Leucadendron leaves are usually dark brown with some varieties of leucadendron displaying two-tone brown and burgundy leaves or two-tone brown and green leaves.

At the top of each leucadendron stem, there is a rough and strong bud about the size of a large marble that is usually surrounded by some of the brown leaves on the stem. Leucadendron are quite sturdy flowers and if maintained properly, can maintain their overall quality for well over a week.

Leucadendron adds a warm colour as well as height to any flower arrangement or bouquet. Although leucadendron can be obtained at different times during the year, their colour lends themselves to fall flower arrangements and bouquets. They can be effectively combined with seasonal oranges, reds and other rich hues.

Power Flowers obtains leucadendron at different times of the year and especially during the fall season when they tend to be more abundantly available.
