Solidago

Back to Flowers

Solidago is greenery that is used in conjunction with other flowers to create nice arrangements and bouquets. One does not use solidago as the primary component in an arrangement or bouquet, and it is very rare to create a bouquet consisting entirely of solidago. Solidago is mostly green with very tiny yellow buds. Although one can obtain solidago that is dark brown and green during the fall season, the green-yellow solidago is most common.

When solidago is at its freshest, it appears mostly green with very little yellow noticeable to the eye. Over time, the yellow buds start to bloom and solidago appears more yellow than green. Solidago is available throughout the year, but there are short periods during the year where solidago is difficult to obtain. The dark brown and green solidago referenced above is only available in the autumn.

Generally, solidago is relatively strong and can remain in good condition for over a week when kept in water. Power Flowers keeps solidago in stock on a regular basis when it is available for purchase.
